"My interest in flying started early in my life and after high school I joined the Air Force for four years. During that period, I obtained numerous hours of flight time as a technician. I became a private pilot in 1978 and flew every day for over two and a half years. It took a number of years for me to earn my instrument, commercial, and instructor license. Since starting my flight lessons and continuing to learn in single engine, multi-engine aircraft, and gliders, I have accumulated more than 13,000 hours of flight time with more than 5,000 hours of instruction given."
